Lamb & Bulgur Burgers

For a simple and tasty meal try these yummy lamb burgers, flavoured with mint and bulgur wheat!

 

You will need:

Lamb Brand Bulgur Wheat 100g

Lean Minced Lamb 250g

Chicken Stock 200ml

Large Carrot 1, finely grated

Small Onion 1, finely chopped

Egg 1, beaten

Hanful Mint, finely chopped

 

All you have to do is:

1. Place the bulgur wheat in a large bowl and pour over the hot stock. 

2. Set aside for 20 minutes until the bulgur is tender, the liquid has been absorbed and the mixture has cooled. 

3. Make sure the mixture is not too wet. If the liquid is not fully absorbed, push it through a sieve to drain off any excess stock. 

4. Stir in the minced lamb, onion, carrot, mint and egg, mixing until well blended. 

5. Shape into six to seven sized burgers then grill or cook in a non-stick frying pan for 3-4 minutes on each side until nicely browned and cooked through, taking care not to break the burgers when turning them. 

6. Serve with bread buns, salad, tomato ketchup or sweet chilli sauce.
