You will need:
Primeluci Cornetti Pasta no.32 300 grams
Lamb Brand Breadcrumbs 340 grams
Lamb Brand All purpose Plain Flour 30 grams
Lamb Brand Ground Black Pepper pinch for taste
Skimmed Milk 200 ml
Cheddar Cheese 200 grams, shredded
Gruyere Cheese 200 grams, shredded
Margarine 30 grams
Dijon Mustard ½ teaspoon
Lean Ham 100 grams, chopped into small cubes
Fresh Parsley 20 grams, finely chopped
Olive Oil Cooking Spray
Frozen Sweet Peas 1 cup
Fresh Carrots 2 medium, cubed and cooked
All you have to do:
Boil the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan melt the margarine and add the flour stirring until paste is formed. Add the milk whisking along to prevent lumps and when mixture becomes creamy add the shredded cheddar and gruyere cheese and stir until it melts. Add the dijon mustard and stir.
Now add the peas, carrots, ham and some black pepper.
Spray an oven proof dish with cooking oil and throw in the cooked pasta, then toss in the cheese sauce mixture. Top with the breadcrumbs and the finely chopped parsley. You may sprinkle some grated cheese if you like.
Bake in a preheated oven 200° for about 20 minutes or until top starts to look brown.
