2 thumbs up for this basic creamy tomato sauce seasoned with garlic, oregano and basil!
Serves: 4
You will need:
Lamb Brand Dry Basil, 1 tbsp
Lamb Brand dried oregano, ¼ tsp
Lamb Brand Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Lamb Brand Table Salt, to taste
Gran Cucina Cream Light, 100g
PrimeLuci Penne, 500g
Polpa, 400g
Olive oil, 2 tbsp
Onion 1, diced
Garlic 1 clove, minced
White sugar, ¾ of a tsp
Butter, 1 tbsp
All you have to do is:
1. In a saucepan, saute onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat. Make sure it doesn't burn.
2. Add tomatoes, basil, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to boil and continue to boil for 5 minutes or until most of the liquid evaporates.
3. Remove from heat; stir in cream and butter.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 more minutes.
5. Once your sauce is ready, place the Penne in boiling salted water as per packet instructions and once ‘Al Dente’ mix with the sauce and serve.
