Dates & Hazelnut Cookies

A good and healthy combination for weight watchers, who are craving for something sweet.

You will need:

Lamb Brand Wholemeal Flour 225g  

Lamb Brand Dates 180g, chopped coarsely

Lamb Brand Roasted Hazelnuts 100g, chopped coarsely

Lamb Brand Brown Sugar 75g

Lamb Brand Castor Sugar 55g

Lamb Brand Bicarbonate of Soda ½ tsp

Butter 125g, melted

Egg 1

Vanilla Essence ½ tsp

All you have to do is:

1. Preheat oven to 180oC fan-forced. Grease two oven trays, line with baking paper.

2. Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda and both sugars into a large bowl. Combine in the butter and egg, and then add in the dates and nuts.

3. Drop rounded tablespoons of mixture, 5cm apart on trays.

4. Bake cookies for about 10 minutes or until golden. Cool on trays.
