Bake these tasty and lovely pear and almond tarts, ideal also to serve on a special occasion.
You will need:
Lamb Brand Icing Sugar 240g
Lamb Brand Pure Ground Almonds 120g
Lamb Brand Plain Flour 110g
Lamb Brand Flaked Almonds 20g
Butter 185g, melted
Pear 180g, peeled cored, chopped finely
Egg Whites 6
All you have to do is:
1. Preheat oven to 200C fan forced and grease a 12-hole muffin pan.
2. Whisk the egg whites with a fork in a medium bowl until frothy. Add the butter, ground almonds, sifted icing sugar and flour. Then add in the pear and stir until combined.
3. Place the mixture into the pan holes and sprinkle with flaked almonds.
4. Bake tarts for about 20 minutes.
5. Let stand for 5 minutes before turning, topside up onto a wire rack to cool.
