Preparation and Cooking time: Approx 20 minutes
Lamb Brand Oat Flakes 3 to 4 tbsp
Lamb Brand Nutmeg pinch
Hello Apple 100% Juice 100ml
Goldstar Dates 50g, chopped
Apple 1, peeled and cored
Banana 1
Plain Yoghurt 125ml, well chilled
Skimmed Milk or Soya Milk 100ml
Water 236ml
In a saucepan place the dates and the apple along with the water. Add the oats and nutmeg. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 7 to 10 minutes. Let it cool slightly. Place the apple mixture along with the rest of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
This thick smoothie can be watered down to your liking with more milk or more apple juice.
